What is ThreeMingle?
ThreeMingle is a live hangout app. You create a room, share a link, and watch videos, listen to music, play casual games or just talk together in real time — with synced playback, live voice chat, group chat and reactions.
Is ThreeMingle free?
Yes. Creating rooms, inviting friends, watching together, voice chat, games and chat are all free, with streaming up to Full HD (1080p). Premium adds 4K Ultra HD and the highest available bitrate.
Do I need to download an app?
No. ThreeMingle runs entirely in your browser on phone, tablet and desktop. Guests can even peek into a public room before creating an account.
How many people can join a room?
Rooms support up to 100 participants. You set the capacity when you create the room and can change visibility, lock the room or regenerate the join code at any time.
Can I watch Netflix, Disney+ or Prime Video together?
Yes, through screen share. Start the film on your own subscription and share your screen — everyone in the room sees it live while voice and text chat keep running. We never ask for your streaming logins.
Does playback stay in sync for everyone?
Yes. The room keeps one authoritative playback clock. When the host plays, pauses or seeks, every participant follows automatically, and the player corrects drift continuously in the background.
Can each person pick their own video quality?
Yes. Quality is per participant — someone on mobile data can watch at 480p while another person watches in 1080p, and the room stays perfectly in sync either way.
Is voice chat included?
Yes. Every room has real low-latency voice chat with speaking indicators, mute controls and push-to-talk, plus text chat and floating emoji reactions in the same place.
How do private rooms work?
Set a room to private or invite-only and optionally add a password. Only people with the code, the link or a direct invite can join, and hosts can lock the room once everyone has arrived.
What moderation tools do hosts have?
Hosts and co-hosts can mute, remove and ban participants, lock the room, regenerate the join code, transfer hosting and end the room. Anyone can block or report a user or room.
Can I use ThreeMingle on mobile?
Yes — ThreeMingle is built mobile-first. Watching, voice chat, games and chat all work on phones. Screen share is best started from a desktop or laptop browser.
How do I invite people?
Share the room link, the six-character room code or the room QR code, or send a direct invite to a friend inside the app. Guests can join a public room without signing up first.
